1. Nevertheless, Shape Shifter is the record that most of the hardcore fans, that stuck with his earlier output and still follow him today, awaited for such a long time. Right now it may be too late for Santana to make any history, but this album is at the very least an interesting addition in his expansive discography.

2. May 11,  · Shape Shifter is the best song that I have heard from Carlos in ten years. It alone is worth the price of the CD. "Nomad" just picks up where SS left off and grabs you right from the start with the pounding drum beat and lightning fast riffs darting in leading up to a change of pace/5().
